Dextrose is used to “prime” your beer to produce natural carbonation in a bottle/keg or can.
It can also be used to boost the amount of alcohol production from a batch of beer/cider/wine or distilling wash.
Dextrose will produce a neutral flavour, leaving your product as close to the original recipe as possible but with an extra kick of booze.
